The Governor tortured both of them giving
them a cruel death. History tells that such was the hate and
distress of the Spanish that he buried them both alive by
closing one of the walls of the house they were living in. It is
because of these events that this house, located a short
distance from the Yanahuara church, is famous for strange events
such as chain noises, bells, barking dogs, ghostly silhouettes
at night.
The Casa Encantada (The Haunted House) as it was called then,
changed owners constantly because nobody would stay for a very
long time in this old house. |
