Colca Valley is located a few hours north from Arequipa city.
Here you can visit Colca River and Colca Canyon. During this
trip you can see interesting natural landscapes, condors,
llamas, alpacas, guanacos, vicunas and vizcachas.
Height: the valley is located at 4,350 meters above sea level,
but in order to visit the Colca Canyon you will have to descend
to 3,400 meters. |

During this descend you can appreciate landscapes with snow-capped
mountains.
The Collagua’s, a pre-inca tribe, left their essence in the
Petroglyphs and caves where the cereals were stored.
After the Spanish conquest, the Colca’s people were grouped in
small villages near the valley making one bigger and economic
organization in this territory. |
