sillar, a white stone formed from the eruption of the volcano.
The last time the Misti showed some kind of
activity, such as smoke clouds, was in 1870. The Misti has a
perfect cone, and stands at 5,822 meters between Chachani (6,075
m.) and Pichu Pichu (5,669 m.) Volcanos. These majestic volcanos
are visible all year, but specially during the dry season.
Despite its high altitude, there is not too much snow in the
peak due to the dryness in the air. |
